Day 253 – Hat Yai Market

I was in need of some new flip flops with my last pair dying in Penang. We headed over to the big market just north of the city center.

The market was huge and indoors with clothes, shoes, bags for sale. On the streets around the market, everything was being sold. From pets, to fruit, to clothes to computers.

The market was split into two massive buildings, the front had offices above and the older section had food stalls at the back.

We spent some time looking for flip flops, not being helped by the massive selection which made it hard to pick a pair. After browsing a hundred million pairs, I finally settled on a pair.

After the market we headed to a cafe in the centre to use the free wifi and eat some cake!

We headed back to the hotel and watched some TV before heading out at night for some food at a Chinese place. John had a massive plate of fried chicken and other fried goodness while i had some fish balls with noodles.
