Another must-do whilst we’re in Sydney is visiting the famous Bondi Beach. Slightly overcast, we decided to head there anyway as it was our last full day with Alan before making our way up the east coast.
To get to Bondi Beach from Gosford, we got the train into central Sydney then caught a local bus. Along this coastal town are numerous tourist shops selling beach stuff with a few small shops inbetween. With a small drizzle of rain over us, we walked along the beach. Despite the weather, there were a fair few surfers out there and a few people messing around on the beach.
We decided to do the 6km Bondi to Coogee coastal walk which begins at the southern end of Bondi Beach. The scenic walk takes you through Tamarama Beach to Coogee, with various opportunities to stop off at a cafe for a breather. There are various boardwalks and steps but it’s not a difficult walk.
Towards the end of our walk, the sun decided to peek out of the clouds which made for some great views.
With our last night at Al’s (we’ll be seeing him on the way back down), we had a few drinks and made a massive pot of chilli so we could take leftovers in the campervan with us to save us from cooking!
